If Poland has made it's way on to your travel list, you've likely made plans to visit Warsaw. Maybe even Krakow. I'd really encourage you to make time for some of the other well-preserved cities though. In my opinion, Wroclaw, Poznan and Gdansk are worthy of making their way onto a first-timer's itinerary.
If you want to try a cheap, local meal or want to take part in a Polish tradition, Bar Neptun is one of the best milk bars in Gdansk. Main Town Hall. Visit the museum and/or take in the view from the top of the tower. Neptune Fountain. The Neptune fountain is a very popular photo spot in Gdansk.

I can't say that I recommend going there, but it's a unique experience ;-), especially "Niebo Cafe" at 0:00 on Friday. Nothing to worry about, you will understand when you see it. You can also visit "Mañana Cafe", which is usually full of foreigners, "Casa de la Musica", "Antidotum".
6 days are far too much, but you can visit areas around it for a day trip like Rüdesheim or Königsstein am Taunus. As far as museums go you definitly have to check out the Senkenbergmusem! I'd suggest some other cities like cologne, Berlin, Munich or Hamburg. Frankfurt is pretty ugly and not worth to go for 6 days imo.
